What is the principle of a sliding vane air compressor?

The vane air compressor is a positive displacement compressor, and its working principle and characteristics are as follows:

1.working principle:The core components of a vane compressor are the rotor and the stator. The rotor is placed eccentrically in the stator, and there are longitudinal grooves on the rotor, in which the vanes slide freely. When the rotor rotates, the vanes are thrown out by centrifugal force and come into close contact with the stator through the oil film, forming a closed air compression chamber.

During the suction process, air is sucked into the compression chamber through the filter and mixed with the lubricating oil sprayed into the main engine. As the rotor rotates, the volume of the compression chamber gradually decreases and the pressure gradually increases, and then the oil-air mixture is discharged through the exhaust port.

2.Structural features:

The vane compressor has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture, and is convenient to operate and maintain. It is almost completely balanced and vibration-free, so it requires a small foundation.

During one rotation, multiple unit volumes are connected to the intake and exhaust pipes, so the intake and exhaust pressure pulsation is small and there is no need to install a large air storage device.

3.Continuous operation:

Due to the use of rotary vane design, the moving part is only one rotor, the speed is as low as 1000 rpm, the reliability is high, the oil temperature and exhaust temperature are low during operation, and it can still work normally under harsh environmental conditions.

4.Durable and long life: The vane compressor always maintains good performance, with a service life of more than 100,000 hours, and there is no need to replace major metal parts. The vane compressor has low speed, small wear, long life and high residual value.

5.Excellent performance: The vane compressor adopts advanced technology and has high volumetric efficiency: users can get more compressed air for the same money. The vane itself automatically compensates the gap with the stator cavity wall by centrifugal force, and there is almost no secondary compression.

6.Low maintenance: Consumables include only 3 types of oil, and the oil capacity is small. Spare parts include: oil, oil separator and air filter. The air filter and oil are replaced every 2000 hours, the oil separator is replaced every 10000 hours, and the oil filter does not need to be replaced.

7.Drive mode: The compressor and motor of the vane compressor are connected and driven by a maintenance-free flexible coupling. No belt or speed-increasing gear is required, which avoids the chance of eccentric tension, belt slippage and breakage, and will not cause gear wear and bearing loss.

8.No axial force: The vane compressor only has a simple rotary motion when it is running, the main shaft is not subjected to axial force, and no complex roller bearings are required.

9.Fewer control pipelines: The vane compressor adopts advanced patented technology. The oil and gas pipelines are built inside the machine body. There are fewer peripheral control pipelines, and there is almost no oil and gas leakage.

Vane compressors play an important role in a variety of industrial applications due to their simple structure, easy maintenance, and high reliability. Proper maintenance and care can ensure long-term stable operation while reducing operating costs.
